Westminster Bookstore Goes to Jail!

Jeff Fuller of the Reformed Evangelist blog knew he possessed two things anyone in ministry would love to have at the same time: seekers hungry for the Gospel and many people willing to help get it to them. All he had to do was find a way to bring those two together. In Jeff’s case, the seekers were a bit harder to get to than most: they were inmates at the Ware County Jail in Georgia.esv_outreach_bibles.jpgThen he came across Westminster Bookstore’s web store and Blog Partner’s program. Jeff invited readers of Reformed Evangelist to order low-cost ESV Outreach Edition Bibles from wtsbooks.com and send them to him to give out to the prisoners. People from all over the country responded. Jeff recently told us,

Your store plays an important part in the process of putting ESV Bibles in the hands of prisoners. I am confident that this ministry would have FEWER donations if it weren’t for your store’s lowest price on ESV Outreach Bibles. As well, your easy ordering process has made it simple for benefactors of this ministry to order bibles and have them shipped to me. Speaking of shipping, I appreciate that your bookstore doesn’t take several days to package and handle products before they are shipped. Items always arrive quickly and are packaged well!

And because Jeff signed up for the Westminster Bookstore Blog Partner’s program, his ministry gets an extra blessing every time a visitor to Reformed Evangelist clicks through from his site to ours.

Because a county jail is a transient community, with new prisoners constantly replacing those being released or moved to other facilities, Jeff has an ongoing need for Bibles to distribute. You can get the details on how to help him out in the last paragraph of this post. Click the link there to order Bibles for the Ware County Prison Ministry, using the shipping address provided by Jeff at the end of the post.
