Bill Mallonee in Philadelphia December 8
Singer/songwriter and ex-Vigilantes of Love frontman Bill Mallonee will perform at Woodlawnland Presbyterian Church in the University City section of Philadelphia on Friday, December 8, at 8:00 p.m. Admission is just $5. Even though that comes in the middle of our exam weeks, I figure I’ll need a break about then. I’d love to put together a small group to go if anyone else is of the same inclination. Bill’s website is here, and you can listen to the entire last VoL album Summershine for free here.
From the publicity email for the current tour:
We hope this finds everyone in good spirits…!
(this is where the strings and jingle bells come in)
This is our favorite time of year…And so with the smell of yule logs burning, the fresh scent of pine wafting through our studio and steaming mugs of hot chocolate (spiked with Baily’s Irish Cream) fueling our rehearsals we are busy getting ready for the holidays…and that means touring…!
Therefore, with hearts full of Christmas cheer, partridges in our pear trees, sugar plum fairies dancing in our heads and sweet, melodious choruses on our lips, we intend to rock your ass off (in a reverent way, of course) by playing a great deal of material off our new Christmas record “Yonder Shines the Infant Light,” and this year’s release “Permafrost.”
