I’m interrupting my blogging hiatus for a post I think even my LSW will welcome…

Here is an annotated HDTV screen shot of the black light map Locke saw in last night’s LOST episode. And here’s an actual color-enhanced shot of the same.
It is, as I guessed when I saw it last night, a map of the hatches on the island, with notes scrawled all over it, mostly in Latin. I’ve reproduced below a translation someone posted on the ‘net. It looks to me like this was a map made by someone staying in the Swan hatch who was trying to accumulate clues as to what was going on on the island (Desmond? his predecessor?).

Interpretation of the Latin notations:

TOP LEFT
- from xxxx AH/MDH incident. But could be #6
- Comfirmed Site of ——– Medical Station (the Staff!!)
- xxxx Station believed to have been abandoned due to AH/MDH incident of 1985
- estemated travel time incompatible with 108 DO NOT ATTEMPT TO SURVEY
- Possible catastrophic malfunction of Cercerus? System
- Alleged location of #4 “THE FLAME”
- But Unlikely due to Cercerus? activity
- Alleged location of aborted #7
Large number of Underground Springs/Heavy water table
- Activity unsuitable for D.I.H.G.

CV I highly unlikely

- No safe location for Dharmatel servers/hub/cabling or infrastructure
- Possible recreation area for D.I.H.G Teams
