Sometimes the Sacred Journey Leads You Home

I’m taking a hiatus from this blog for at least a week, maybe more. (Yes, I am posting this just two days after joining another blog.) At the end of this next week I’ll be driving Karyn up to Maine for the birth of our fifth grandchild, due in early April. Karyn will stay there for the whole month to help with the birth and afterward.

So…blogging or giving this last week to love and serve my wife before we are apart? Guess who wins that one. Buh-bye Sacred Journey…hello, Precious Gift from God!

I won’t leave you bereft of your daily dose of the Journey, however. I’ve set a series of “best of” posts–some of my personal favorites from the past–to automatically post, one per day for the next week. I thought this would be fun, since many of you have only joined me on this journey recently. Each post from the past will have a link back to the original so you can read (and join in, if you wish) on the comments from when it originally was posted. Or, of course, you may place a “fresh” comment on the new posting. Or you may write your comments on the back of a $20 bill and mail them in. That works too.

Congratulations on the new grandchild, have a good trip.

Thanks, Brandon. It was fun meeting your parents today. Your Dad is a crackup!

  3. Brandon Withrow Says:

Crackup is a good word. :) I don’t want to claim him too much though, he’s actually Mindy’s pappy. They were glad the bookstore was open. Do you get paid a little extra for being there on your day off? Or a discount on a book maybe?

  4. Mark Traphagen Says:

    Oops! I knew that

I just moved some hours over from Friday, so my “pay” was getting to go to more of the Evangelical Theological Society sessions than I would have been able to otherwise.

  5. Brandon Withrow Says:

    That’s a good trade off.
