I always love the stories my friend Joel the philosophy prof tells about the growing apprehension of the world by his little daughter Claire. In this installment, Claire shows us that our preconceived notions of what a story is about can cause us more “mature” ones to miss the forest for the pine needle. Claire, like that other child who went by the first name “C. S.,” sees where the real story is in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
