28 years is not long enough…

…to say how much I love my LSW (Long Suffering Wife) Karyn!

I just wanted to trumpet to this small part of the world that Karyn and I have been married 28 years as of today.

At this moment (10:28 EDT) 28 years ago…I was begging the men of Old First Church in Cedar Grove, NJ, to please let me help them set up chairs…do anything!…because I was all dressed and ready to go, but the wedding wasn’t until 1:00. “No, no,” they said, “you just enjoy yourself.” Enjoy myself?!?! I was going nuts!

And Karyn was finishing one of her bridesmaid’s dresses…

Congratulations, Mark and Karyn!! I hope y’all are still going just as strong 28 years from now!
Oh, and Melissa and I will be celebrating our 1-year anniversary tomorrow…so we’re doing some reminiscing this weekend, too!

    Congratulations Karyn and Mark!
Even though I’m still trying to figure out why you sit apart in class, it obvious that you’re still hopelessly in love. (For all I know, sitting apart in class may be the very thing that holds your marriage together)

Just to alleviate any worries, Doug, we do share the same bed  (also part of the secret to a happy marriage)

Thanks for the wishes, everyone. We have the second best possible anniversary present: both our daughters are in town with us this weekend (first best would be if they had brought the grandkids!).

:D Your “gift” got mailed today. [Okay, so it's just fortuitous timing, but we can pretend, right? Right? :cricket:]

I’m just geek enough that this information is now in my Treo.

All gifts are cheerfully accepted at any time. No disclaimers are necessary.

By the way, the CIA called; they want your roommate’s boots back.

  12. Arden Says:

    Hi Mark and Karyn,
Congrats on making so many years!!!! :-) Miraculous in this day and age, huh? Hugs to all in your family, when you see them! With you in the battle for our King…..Arden

    Jason:

Problem is, they want the Indian guy in the boots when I return them. This will be my toughest assignment yet. If I am caught or captured, the Westminster registrar’s office will disavow any knowledge of my existence. Wish me luck.

    Arden!

Ladies and Gentlemen, that was our good friend Arden, originally known to us in Charlottesville, VA, but now serving as a missionary teacher in Szeged, Hungary. My wife, daughter Hannah, and I had the honor of assisting her for two summers with English language camps for Hungarian high school students.

    Köszönöm!
