The New Sudan Project

Many of you have followed our story of traveling to southern Sudan with a team from our church. Our community of believers charged us to go not only to do work while we were there, but to be eyes and ears for the Body of Christ back here. We were to go and bring back the story of our brothers and sisters in that war torn land so that many here could pray for them and support them.

We are now into the “story telling” phase of that endeavor. I’m working with the Coury Deeb, the videographer who tavelled with us to Yei, Sudan. As Nadus Productions, we will be working to distill the 9-1/2 hours of video he brought back into a 30 minute documentary to be called “The New Sudan.” I’ve already seen some of the raw footage, and their’s some incredible stuff. I think the film will give a real flavor of what life is like in a land emerging from 20+ years of civil war. Coury also captured the personal sagas of several Sudanese from varying backgrounds.

I have goosebumps at the very thought of it, Mark.

Thanks, Geof. As the film gets nearer to completion, we’ll have information on how folks can obtain it to show to their churches, etc. We have some very talented and professional people at our disposal, so we have high hopes that this will be a quality production.
