A quiverful

3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children [1] of one’s youth.
5 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
- Psalm 127 (ESV)

While we await the birth of our fourth grandchild, I thought it would be nice to post some recent pictures of the other three. All but the last are from our recent vacation at Chincoteague on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

  1. Sarah Joy Says:

Glad that you all got to Maine safely. You may want to check the caption on that last picture before Hannah sees it! I don’t believe the girl behind Éva is 8 and half months pregnant, as Hannah would be at the time of the picture!

  2. the Sage Says:

Umm… Dad - I’ll take it as a compliment that you think I look as good as a skinny 16 year-old. That’s definitely not me. And are you stealing pictures off of my computer while you’re up here? Isn’t that illegal?

  3. the Sage Says:

    I changed the caption. Sorry.

I have to admit…when my mother in law asked me recently if my “quiver was full”, I took it the wrong way and was very ticked off that she would ask such a personal question.
