Anything other than KJV is blasphemy!

    (Just kidding! :) )

This is a great resource. If you use Firefox, there’s a plugin you can install that lets you run a search for a verse or word, and it will automatically pull open the webpage for you.

http://www.biblegateway.com also has had esv on its list of translations for scripture searches for at least two years.

something you might find very helpful, Mark, is a little freeware program called E-Sword (www.e-sword.net). takes a little time to d/l all the plug-ins that you will want, but it’s quite nice. oh, and ESV is one of the free add-ons. sadly, you have to pay for NASB…

Andy: I’ve used biblegateway that whole time (for NASB) and never noticed they’d added ESV until last week. Major duh!

Tim: I’ll check out that resource, thanks.

I’m loving the ESV. Occassionally I run across a verse that just stumps me–just seems disconnected and lacking meaning. But then I flip to a less literal translation and suddenly things click. I like that the ESV makes the reader do a little bit more work as they seek to understand the text.

And I’m glad that Andy pointed out Biblegateway having the ESV. I just looked for that on their site last week and skimmed right past it. Which is funny because I’d been using Biblegateway as my primary Bible resource for a couple years.

Hey Mark - This is great –
The “tension” is what grace is all about - we must never seperate the “thinking” Christian from the “feeling” Christian - fare indeec is the Cristian that is both
