So long to Maine…
It’s our last day here in Greenville
. It’s a sunny 49 (hey, we’ve had snow twice since we arrived Monday) and I still can’t take my eyes off the mountains around Wilson Pond. I’m more and more sure that my little corner of the New Earth is going to look like this.
Early tomorrow we’re off for New Jersey (so much for the Edenic imagery) to attend a “roast” of an old friend who is retiring from church music ministry. Sunday morning we’ll attend service at St. Michael’s Episcopal in Wayne, our first church at the beginning of our marriage, then slog back to VA for the final chapter of our ten years (minus one in Hawai’i) there.

Did you sing “This is not another song about the mountains…” while looking at the beautiful landscape? So, my guess is that you are tracking some personal history before going back to school? I did that this last weekend in Kansas. Only, I’m not going back to school.
